FOOD INTOLERANCE TEST Food intolerance is an adverse reaction to food, not triggered by the immune system. Intolerance is triggered by food eaten on a regular basis and in large amounts. It manifests itself much slower than allergy, and its symptoms are more diverse and less acute. Among the symptoms of food intolerance are: headache, fatigue, nausea, vomiting, diarrhoea, constipation, joint pain. Dietary treatment involves introducing elimination diet. Intolerance is most frequently caused by: cow’s milk, eggs, wheat, durum flour, nuts, fish, seafood, yeast, cocoa, but also tea, oranges and lemon. In order to make sure that the patient suffers from food intolerance, we perform a FOOD DETECTIVE intolerance test. This is a fast and virtually pain-free examination in which we analyse a sample of blood taken from a finger-prick. The results are ready on the same day.
